Junior Data Engineer

About the Role

As a Junior Data Engineer, you will play a vital role in constructing and enhancing data and AI infrastructure critical for the scalable advancement of generative AI solutions. This position offers a chance to expand your technical skills while collaborating with seasoned professionals to deliver impactful data and platform services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure that supports large-scale training and inference of generative AI models.
• Develop and fine-tune data pipelines and systems for optimal performance, scalability, and cost reduction.
• Assist in deploying infrastructure for the development and operational phases of AI applications.
• Assess and suggest appropriate infrastructure and technology options aligned with business goals.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to address and resolve technical challenges.
• Support the implementation of operational controls and governance mechanisms for AI platforms.
• Create observability tools to monitor AI platform performance, reliability, and usage metrics.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and contribute innovative ideas to enhance data engineering workflows.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least one year of experience in data engineering, software development, or similar technical roles.
• Intermediate skills in Python programming.
• Intermediate knowledge of SQL and experience with relational database systems.
• Familiarity with data processing techniques and fundamental data engineering concepts.
• Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills for engaging in technical discussions and designing solutions.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

• Hands-on experience managing data pipelines and executing data engineering workflows.
• Understanding of data access and transformation methods.
• Exposure to cloud platforms and related services.
• Knowledge of distributed systems or large-scale data processing frameworks.
