Laboratory Analyst

Role Overview

Join the Quality Assurance department equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. This position supports the organization's goals by assisting the chemist to uphold safety, environmental, and quality standards while aiding production processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with analysts and technicians to conduct comprehensive testing and evaluation of semi-finished and finished polyolefin products, including polyethylene and polypropylene, using advanced analytical and processing instruments.
• Develop, revise, and preserve procedural documents and quality and safety records, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
• Maintain laboratory equipment by ensuring proper upkeep, performing basic troubleshooting, and coordinating with vendors for technical support to promptly resolve instrument issues.
• Monitor laboratory inventory levels regularly and maintain accurate inventory records to support continuous laboratory operations.
• Work closely with Sales and Production teams to aid in troubleshooting and perform technical investigations as needed.
• Engage in laboratory ISO certification and safety-related activities to promote a secure working environment and compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in Chemistry or Diploma in Chemical Process Technology; specialization in Polymer Science or Material Science is advantageous.
• Prior work experience in the polymer industry, particularly within polymer material processing and testing, is preferred.
• Strong teamwork ability, effective communication skills (both written and spoken), and the capability to work accurately under pressure and tight deadlines.
