Landscape Inspector - Roads & Bridges

Role Overview

The Landscape Inspector will be tasked with supervising, inspecting, and overseeing landscape and public realm activities related to project works. This role ensures landscape construction is performed in line with approved designs, specifications, quality benchmarks, environmental policies, and client directives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of landscape installation to verify alignment with approved plans and project requirements.
• Assess construction quality and workmanship across all landscape-related operations.
• Ensure timely progress of landscape works adhering to schedules and approved procedures.
• Perform daily site visits to report status, highlight issues, and document non-compliances.
• Supervise the integration of landscaping within bridge and transportation infrastructure.
• Oversee interaction zones between landscaping, utilities, structures, and roadways.
• Monitor the installation and testing of irrigation systems, ensuring they meet project and sustainability criteria.
• Witness irrigation system commissioning and validate compliance with specifications.
• Ensure adherence to environmental and sustainability standards including water-efficient landscaping practices.
• Maintain high standards of site cleanliness and environmental protection throughout construction.
• Review contractor-submitted inspection requests and verify landscape material approvals.
• Document inspections thoroughly with reports and photographs, identify and address non-conformities.
• Assist in quality audits and participate in site meetings to coordinate activities and resolve technical challenges.
• Enforce all health, safety, and environmental protocols related to landscaping works on site.
• Lead or participate in safety briefings promoting safe methods in excavation, planting, irrigation, and hardscape installation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or diploma in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Agriculture, Civil or Environmental Engineering, or similar fields.
• Certification in landscape construction, horticulture, or irrigation systems is advantageous.
• Between 5 to 8 years of experience in landscape inspection, with at least 3 years involved in infrastructure or urban development projects.
• Experience in GCC or Saudi Arabia construction projects is highly valued.
• Background in working with engineering consultants, project management companies, or major contractors is preferred.
