Role Overview
We seek a dedicated Lead Data Scientist to champion advanced analytics and data-driven innovation for PumpTest and IIoT platforms under the TPD Business Unit. This role entails designing and implementing scalable models, statistical algorithms, and workflows that convert extensive industrial and telemetry data into valuable business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and create sophisticated data science and analytical solutions tailored for various IIoT platforms.
- Enable decision-making based on data by building statistical analyses, predictive analytics models, and scalable algorithms.
- Transform large-scale industrial and telemetry datasets into actionable insights that enhance operations.
- Support and contribute to the strategic development of AI/ML and analytics within the TPD digital initiatives.
- Develop scalable models and high-performance algorithms primarily using Python.
- Conduct detailed statistical analysis on extensive telemetry and industrial datasets.
- Employ Python, Spark, and Databricks to design and automate data science workflows.
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and product teams on data-centric projects and use cases.
- Participate in architecture decisions and ensure the reliability and efficiency of analytical solutions.
- Support processes including data modeling, feature engineering, and data transformation.
- Drive continuous workflow automation, monitoring, and enhancement of analytical systems.
- Contribute to developing reusable frameworks and uphold best practices across data science initiatives.
Technical and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related domains.
- Deep theoretical foundation and practical experience in statistical analysis and data science.
- Programming proficiency in Python with experience in scalable algorithm development.
- Hands-on expertise with Python tools including Jupyter, pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and scikit-learn.
- Familiarity with Apache Spark and Databricks platforms preferred.
- Understanding of data pipelines, lakes, cloud analytics, CI/CD, and automation workflows.
- Knowledge of real-time data processing and IIoT environments is advantageous.
