About the Facility

Erindale Leisure Centre in South Australia is a vibrant community hub featuring a heated 25m indoor pool, steam room, various group fitness studios offering classes like Les Mills and aqua, a gym with personal training, a swim school for children, multiple sports courts including tennis, squash, badminton, basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, a multi-purpose sports hall, private training spaces, and event function rooms with a theatre.

Role Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and personable Lifeguards to oversee daily pool activities ensuring safety and enjoyment for all patrons and staff. This role requires someone passionate about water safety, energetic, with excellent communication skills and strong dedication to outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily pool operations and maintain safety standards of pool and surrounding areas.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment for visitors.
• Provide leadership and guidance within the team focused on safety and customer experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication for diverse interactions.
• Comprehensive understanding of occupational health and safety standards and public safety relevant to aquatic facilities.
• Current certifications in First Aid Level 2, CPR, and Pool Lifeguard qualification.
• National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People clearance.
• Ability and willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
• Capacity to function effectively individually and collaborate within a team.
• Previous experience in similar roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Possession of a Pool Operations Certificate is a plus.
