Star Construction LLC is dedicated to offering careers that connect people to meaningful work opportunities. As a Locator with us, you will be involved in marking underground utilities to help assure project safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Use detection equipment to identify and mark underground utility lines, seeking help from experienced personnel as necessary.
Interpret utility maps accurately to locate underground utilities.
Maintain thorough documentation of all locate activities.
Respond quickly and courteously to excavation notifications.
Effectively communicate with excavators, utility representatives, and internal teams.
Perform light digging with a shovel when required.
Be prepared for overtime, travel, and on-call or after-hours duties as needed.
Carry out work regardless of weather conditions.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Authorization to work in the United States is required.
Possess a high school diploma, GED, or have equivalent relevant work experience.
Hold a valid state driver's license (excluding provisional licenses) with an acceptable driving record.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Frequently required to work independently in remote areas, perform tasks involving arm movements above shoulder height, drive vehicles, perform fine motor tasks, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, and use a keyboard and mouse.
Occasionally need to use portable ladders, work in confined spaces, and climb stairs.
