Role Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Logistics Manager to join our Supply Chain team based in the UAE. This position is responsible for the comprehensive management of goods flow through the supply chain, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery. The role encompasses oversight of transportation, warehousing, inventory, customs compliance, and distribution functions, coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, third parties, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.

Key Duties

• Oversee both inbound and outbound logistics operations effectively.
• Enhance transportation routing, freight expenses, and delivery timelines.
• Manage warehouse and third-party logistics (3PL) processes including storage, order picking, packaging, and shipment.
• Maintain precise inventory records and ensure stock availability.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics partners.
• Negotiate contracts related to transport, warehousing, and distribution.
• Ensure adherence to international trade laws, customs regulations, HS codes, and import/export documentation protocols.
• Design and implement logistics strategies aimed at operational efficiency and cost reduction.
• Assist with demand forecasting and inventory replenishment processes.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts throughout logistics functions.
• Assess and mitigate risks associated with transportation delays, supply chain disruptions, and regulatory changes.

Experience & Qualifications

• 7 to 8 years of experience in logistics management or freight forwarding sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of freight management across air, sea, road, and courier modes.
• Proven expertise in managing warehouse operations and 3PL providers.
• Strong familiarity with customs regulations, Incoterms, and international shipping procedures.
• Track record in implementing cost optimization initiatives successfully.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Strong skills in communication, teamwork, and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience in negotiation and vendor management.
• A solid grasp of best practices and principles in logistics management.

Performance Metrics

• Supplier on-time delivery rates.
• Accuracy of warehouse inventory.
• Efficiencies in logistics cost and operations.
• Utilization of transportation assets and fleet.

Collaborative Interactions

• Internal: Supply Chain team, Factories, CMEL, Business Unit Managers, Cross-functional colleagues.
• External: Third-party logistics providers, shipping companies, freight forwarders, customs and port authorities, and suppliers.
