Role Summary

The Commercial Manager will oversee all commercial aspects of a large-scale program, including client advisories on commercial and cost matters, administration of supplier contracts, and management of commercial teams. This role involves strategic planning, leadership, budget oversight, operational management, manpower coordination, policy adherence, and quality, safety, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and implementation of construction-related targets aligned with company vision and strategy.
  • Ensure the effective execution of construction plans at the site, monitoring performance to meet strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient execution conforming to construction management plans.

  • Assist in preparing accurate management information system reports to meet corporate standards.

  • Actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives by contributing ideas and supporting process enhancements to increase efficiency and innovation.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business, Finance, or related fields.
  • 12 to 15 years of experience in commercial administration, including leadership roles managing large-scale programs from inception to completion.
  • Experience leading contracting companies in the GCC region is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt quickly and contribute effectively to the commercial success of projects.
  • Skilled in negotiation to resolve disagreements, commercial letter writing, progress report preparation, commercial risk assessment and mitigation, and change management.
  • Proficient in FIDIC contract administration with demonstrated high competency.
