About the Role
Located in Las Vegas, Nevada, MGM Resorts International offers an exciting and diverse environment focused on creating unforgettable entertainment experiences. We are seeking a Manager of Events & Experiences Development to lead the strategic creation and growth of original events within our owned portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full lifecycle of new event initiatives from initial concept through ticket sales, establishing clear deadlines and ensuring smooth transitions between phases.
- Develop and enhance key project documents such as Concept Briefs, Concept Decks, and Business Plans to present ideas clearly to executives and stakeholders.
- Work closely with external partners and internal MGM leadership across departments to align goals, manage schedules, and meet critical milestones.
- Maintain crucial departmental assets like the event pipeline tracker and multi-year event calendar with precision and confidentiality.
- Lead operational meetings by preparing agendas, tracking action items, and monitoring cross-team deliverables.
- Collaborate with finance and analytics to build and maintain event financial models ensuring strategic and economic feasibility.
- Partner with revenue-generating teams to develop comprehensive commercial plans and ensure timely execution of project objectives.
- Identify and resolve risks, timeline delays, or resource issues throughout event development by implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Design handoff protocols to ensure smooth transitions from development to event operations teams for flawless event execution.
- Research market trends, competitive landscape, and audience demands to inform and inspire future event concepts.
- Manage and deliver high-priority special projects and strategic endeavors as assigned by leadership.
Candidate Profile
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related area—or possess equivalent professional experience.
- Have at least two years of relevant background in entertainment or event management.
- Demonstrate high proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Exhibit strong skills in organization, time management, and project coordination.
