Role Summary

The Manager, Partnerships, plays a pivotal role at Canopie by managing relationships with health plan and program partners. This position centers on maintaining consistent proactive communication, ensuring partners understand program performance and its significance, and coordinating cross-functional teams including product, clinical, and analytics to keep partnership initiatives on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary operational liaison for Canopie's partners, managing daily communications and sustaining long-term relationships.
  • Plan and facilitate regular partner meetings and quarterly business reviews, preparing program performance presentations.
  • Monitor partner commitments and unresolved issues, identifying risks early and coordinating resolution among internal teams.
  • Manage onboarding processes for new partners, collaborating with clinical, product, and operations teams to guarantee smooth launches.
  • Maintain comprehensive and organized partner records including program setups, contact details, and escalation logs.
  • Oversee creation and delivery of both recurring and ad hoc partner reports regarding member engagement, program utilization, retention, and health outcomes, cooperating closely with Strategy and Analytics on defining metrics and supporting data analysis.
  • Proactively analyze performance metrics to identify successes and areas needing attention, presenting insights to partners ahead of their inquiries.
  • Develop and update clear, accurate dashboards and reports to build partner confidence in program outcomes.
  • Provide internal reporting supporting clinical operations and leadership decision-making.
  • Comply thoroughly with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies, including HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in account management, partner success, client operations, or healthcare program administration.
  • Background in healthcare or possession of a public health degree (MPH) or similar is highly advantageous.
  • Strong comfort with data analysis and the ability to transform metrics into compelling, clear narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to articulate the business value Canopie offers to payers and partners credibly.
  • Exceptional program management skills to juggle multiple partner-related projects across diverse teams without missing details.
  • Familiarity with contract terms and statements of work (SOW), ensuring adherence to agreed deliverables and metric definitions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities, including preparing presentations and conducting calls effectively to maintain partner relationships without over-promising.
  • Highly organized and dependable in remote work settings, capable of managing follow-ups and ensuring no tasks are neglected.
  • Motivated by the mission to assist mothers during significant life transitions with the support of Canopie’s services.

Performance Indicators

  • Successful partner expansions demonstrated by contract renewals, increased engagement, and broadened collaboration scope.
  • Partners consistently report feeling well-informed, supported, and confident in Canopie’s ability to deliver.
  • Accurate, punctual reporting that clearly communicates outcomes without prompting from partners.
  • Effective follow-up and resolution of open items with smooth program launches and ongoing operational coordination.
  • Reduced time investment by clinical and leadership teams for partner communications due to comprehensive management by this role.
