Role Summary
The Manager of PPC (PCBA Planning) will oversee the complete lifecycle of PCBA operations such as SMT, THC, and PCB Testing, ensuring flawless implementation of Engineering Change Notes (ECNs), audit compliance, and effective spare parts management to maintain uninterrupted production and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive PCBA production plans that accommodate SMT capacity and component availability.
- Supervise daily operations across SMT, THC, and PCB Testing lines, ensuring targets are consistently met.
- Implement production schedules while honoring delivery deadlines and balancing workload among production lines.
- Manage material flow to avoid line stoppages and guarantee schedule adherence.
- Coordinate and plan components for SMT and THC based on BOM and production demands, ensuring availability of ICs, passives, PCBs, connectors, and more.
- Liaise with procurement for long lead-time, imported, and critical parts, monitoring shortages and alternate solutions.
- Maintain line-side inventory and feeder planning while tracking consumption and wastage against BOM.
- Control inventory to prevent excess or obsolete stock, particularly for high-value electronics.
- Oversee company-wide ECN execution by collaborating with R&D, SCM, Quality, and Manufacturing teams; manage BOM revisions and component changes.
- Ensure accurate documentation, traceability, and phase-in/phase-out plans during product transitions.
- Forecast and maintain appropriate spare parts inventory for after-sales service, preventing stock-outs and obsolescence.
- Coordinate external audits related to planning and material management, ensuring compliance and timely correction of non-conformities.
- Drive continuous improvement and enforce industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and internal policies relevant to AC charger manufacturing.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related fields.
- Possesses 8 to 14 years of experience in production planning, preferably in electronics or PCB manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge in planning, controlling manufacturing processes, BOM, and electronic component management.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making capabilities paired with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders efficiently.
- Capable of working under strict deadlines with accountability.
