Role overview

The Incentives Management Division (IMD), under SSG’s Incentives Management and Enforcement Group (IMEG), supports organisation-wide efforts to build a responsive, effective and inclusive continuing education and training (CET) ecosystem. The team does this through grant administration, Skills Development Levy (SDL) collection, and enforcement work to prevent fraud and misuse.

This temporary role is focused on assisting with the day-to-day running of the SkillsFuture Level-Up Training Allowance and Workfare Skills Support Level Up Training Allowance programmes.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage public appeals that require investigation and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Carry out quality assurance checks on an outsourced service partner, including sample reviews to confirm compliance with SOPs, processing rules and policy requirements.
  • Support implementation of improvements to the Training Allowance System (TAS).
  • Help review standard operating procedures and prepare work instructions.
  • Assist with engagement efforts involving training providers and other partners.
  • Extract, compile and perform basic analysis of data for reporting and operational use.
  • Take on other tasks as assigned.

Candidate profile

The role calls for someone with up to 5 years of relevant experience in grants, operations, or system development. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability is important, along with familiarity with systems and design thinking approaches. You should be comfortable working on your own, as part of a team, and across different teams.

Good interpersonal skills, adaptability in a fast-moving environment, and strong verbal and written communication skills are expected. Experience in stakeholder management and presentations will be helpful. You should also be proficient in word processing, spreadsheets and presentation tools.

Exposure to SkillsFuture grants, CET, or related industry experience will be an advantage.
