Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

DOSTAN MACHINES seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to become part of its manufacturing division based in Greater Noida. This opportunity involves creating, designing, and overseeing the production of specialized food processing equipment such as ice cream manufacturing units, pasteurizers, continuous freezers, and refrigeration technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop food processing machinery primarily using SS304/SS316 stainless steel materials.
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models utilizing CAD tools like AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Enhance machine designs to maximize operational efficiency, robustness, and cost-efficiency.
• Oversee fabrication processes including sheet metal work, welding, and assembly operations.
• Ensure fabrication aligns precisely with design documents on the production floor.
• Liaise with vendors managing cutting, bending, and machining services.
• Manage comprehensive project execution from plant setup to commissioning for capacities ranging from 200 LPH to extensive systems.
• Support installation phases, conduct trial runs, and troubleshoot at customer locations.
• Collaborate closely with electrical and refrigeration engineering teams to ensure integrated plant functionality.
• Maintain stringent quality assurance adhering to food-grade and GMP standards.
• Perform final machine inspections and testing prior to delivery.
• Propose upgrades and innovations to current equipment including continuous freezers, tunnel hardeners, ageing tanks, and pasteurizers focused on cost reduction and enhanced performance.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Between 2 to 5 years of practical experience in machinery manufacturing, food processing equipment, or refrigeration systems.
• Proficient knowledge in sheet metal designing and stainless steel fabrication.
• Familiarity with pumps, valves, and pipeline systems.
• Basic understanding of refrigeration principles.
• Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks design software preferred.

Preferred Expertise

• Background in ice cream or dairy plant machinery operations.
• Understanding key components such as Plate Heat Exchangers (PHE), homogenizers, and compressors.
• Capability to manage onsite installations and maintain effective client communication.

Working Conditions and Compensation

• Work schedule: Monday to Saturday from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
• Monthly salary ranges between ₹25,000 and ₹45,000 depending on experience and skill level.
