Role overview
Canteen is looking to hire a full-time Moving Coordinator to manage office move activities across multiple locations in Tampa, Florida. This role supports the coordination, handling, and tracking of company office assets during relocations and related projects.
Work schedule and location
The position is based at Canteen, 9501 Palm River Road, Tampa, FL 33619. Only online applications are accepted. The schedule is full time, Monday through Friday, and working hours may vary depending on business needs. More details will be shared during the interview.
What you will do
This role involves organizing move requests, coordinating timing with requesters, and helping carry out small-scale moves of office items such as boxes, furniture, and file cabinets. It also includes assessing furniture and movable equipment to decide whether items should go to storage or be sent for disposal, keeping warehouse and shelled areas organized, and preparing work orders to support move activities.
You will also help install and remove items using hand and power tools, use moving equipment such as hand trucks, dollies, and carts, coordinate incoming deliveries with vendors and the loading dock, drive a truck for scheduled and on-demand moves, and load and unload materials as needed. The job also includes keeping the work area safe and orderly, following safety rules, informing supervisors about issues or delays, supporting the move team, and handling additional assigned duties.
Requirements and qualifications
Candidates must have prior equipment installation experience and a valid driver’s license. Strong verbal and written communication skills are important, along with working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDF viewers/editors. The role also requires the ability to lift at least 50 pounds, push or pull at least 100 pounds, use a tape measure, work with dimensions, read architectural floor plans or construction drawings, and comfortably walk, stand, and reach with the hands and arms.
Compensation and additional details
The hourly pay for this role is between $18.00 and $22.00. An internal employee referral bonus is available.
