Network Engineer

Position Overview

Zone IT Solutions is looking for a skilled Infrastructure and Network Engineer with proven expertise in enterprise-level networking, cloud platforms, virtualization, and automation technologies to join our team. This role demands strong technical knowledge and practical experience to design, manage, and improve complex IT infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support IP networking and security solutions at an enterprise scale.
• Administer and manage cloud and virtualization environments, including OpenShift, OpenStack, VMware, and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI).
• Configure and maintain Cisco-based networking systems.
• Develop automation scripts and maintain infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Red Hat Satellite.
• Create custom scripts to automate routine operational tasks and enhance system performance.
• Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure consistent uptime and reliability.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to execute infrastructure projects and drive ongoing improvements.
• Adhere to security guidelines and ensure compliance with organizational policies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Australian citizenship is mandatory for applicants.
• Extensive hands-on experience with IP networking and network security protocols.
• Familiarity with OpenShift and OpenStack cloud environments.
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco networking hardware and technologies.
• Experience working with VMware and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure solutions.
• Proficiency in automation frameworks like Ansible, Puppet, and Red Hat Satellite.
• Competency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong analytical abilities with excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
