Role Overview

Based in Dublin at the Waste to Energy Facility on the Poolbeg peninsula, this position leads the plant maintenance department to ensure continuous, safe, and compliant facility operations. The role prioritizes organizational development, system building, and enhancing operational capabilities over hands-on technical troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Directly oversee maintenance engineers and their activities, ensuring responsibilities are executed effectively.
• Maintain plant uptime in alignment with contractual standards.
• Coordinate maintenance efforts with operations and procurement teams to troubleshoot and rectify issues with process machinery and systems.
• Provide technical guidance and lead initiatives to upgrade equipment and systems aimed at boosting plant reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possess a Technical Degree, Diploma, or Certificate preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical disciplines, or have comparable educational experience.
• Exceptional candidates lacking formal technical education will still be evaluated.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience that spans various maintenance crafts, including inventory and spare parts management.
• Strong skills in planning, organization, and task prioritization to ensure that maintenance work is properly managed and completed.
• Deep understanding of asset management with a focus on critical spare parts governance and inventory optimization to uphold safe and dependable operations.
• Proven ability to establish structured systems of governance and accountability within a maintenance department to ensure all tasks and improvements are completed under clear ownership and oversight.
