About the Role
We are hiring a dependable and professional Security Guard to provide overnight surveillance at a secure data center located in Barrie, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel, facilities, and sensitive infrastructure throughout their shift.
Work Schedule & Compensation
- Hourly wage of $19.31
- Fixed shift hours: Tuesday to Friday from midnight to 8 AM, and Sunday from 8 PM to 8 AM
- Full-time employment
Responsibilities
- Regulate and supervise access to the data center
- Perform routine patrols around both inside and outside of the site
- Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and related security systems
- Apply and enforce site policies and security protocols
- Respond effectively to any incidents, alarms, or emergencies
- Record detailed incident reports and maintain accurate shift logs
- Maintain clear communication with management and emergency responders as needed
Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in Canada
- Eligibility to obtain Government of Canada Reliability Clearance status
- Residency in Canada for at least five continuous years
- Possession of a valid provincial security guard license
- Current First Aid certification
- Dependability, punctuality, and a professional demeanor
- Ability to work overnight shifts, including a 12-hour Sunday shift
- Strong observational and communication capabilities
- Capacity to stay alert and focused in a high-security setting
