Role overview
We are seeking a Power BI Developer for a contract assignment in Dublin. The role is hybrid, with 2 to 3 days each week spent onsite at the client office in Dublin. You will design and build interactive dashboards and reporting solutions that turn curated cyber data into practical insights for operational teams, risk stakeholders, and leadership.
What you will do
- Create Power BI dashboards for threat tracking, incident movement, risk scoring, and operational KPI reporting.
- Develop semantic models, DAX measures, and reusable reporting datasets tailored to cyber analytics needs.
- Connect Power BI reports to curated Databricks or lakehouse datasets and improve report speed and responsiveness.
- Set up row-level security, reporting governance, refresh routines, and publishing best practices.
- Partner with SOC teams, cyber analysts, and business stakeholders to improve dashboard usability and drive adoption.
Core skills needed
- Strong hands-on experience in Power BI report creation, data modelling, DAX, and Power Query.
- Ability to integrate Power BI with Databricks, SQL endpoints, or cloud-based data platforms.
- Well-developed skills in dashboard layout, performance optimisation, and user-focused design.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity metrics, incident reporting, and operational analytics.
Key deliverables
- Power BI dashboards and executive-level reports.
- Semantic models, DAX calculations, and reusable reporting datasets.
- Documentation for report governance, refresh processes, access control, and publishing standards.
Work arrangement
This is a contract position with a hybrid schedule requiring 2 to 3 onsite days per week at the Dublin client office.
