Procurement and Planning Manager

Position Overview

Borghese is looking for an exceptionally organized and proactive Procurement and Planning Manager to manage sourcing activities for components, packaging, and finished products. This role also involves managing vendor and contract manufacturer relationships with a focus on ensuring product availability, maintaining quality, controlling costs, and supporting new product launches.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Source materials and negotiate pricing for components and completed goods.
• Oversee supplier selection, onboarding processes, and performance evaluation.
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality and service standards.
• Maintain vendor scorecards and monitor supplier performance metrics.
• Stay updated on market trends, price changes, and potential supply chain risks.
• Act as the main liaison for contract manufacturers, fillers, and critical suppliers.
• Manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery from manufacturing partners.
• Coordinate availability of components and readiness for new product launches and restocking.
• Address and resolve supply, quality, and delivery challenges in collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
• Conduct regular strategic business reviews with manufacturing partners.
• Work closely with demand planning and operations teams to align procurement with sales forecasts.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock, supporting optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate across Product Development, Marketing, Quality, and Finance teams on new products and reformulations.
• Ensure that suppliers and manufacturers comply with quality, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting related to procurement and production expenses.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related discipline preferred.
• More than five years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or manufacturing management.
• Prior exposure to beauty, personal care, cosmetics, consumer packaged goods, or similar sectors strongly desired.
• Demonstrated experience managing contract manufacturers and supplier relationships.
• Strong negotiation capabilities and vendor management expertise.
• Excellent skills in analytics, organization, and project management.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency; experience with ERP systems (Business Center ERP is a plus).
• Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
