About Nord Anglia Education and the Role
Nord Anglia Education, a premier international schools organization with over 80 schools worldwide, is seeking a Procurement Manager to join Etqan Global Academy located in Doha, Qatar. This role involves overseeing all procurement operations within the school to ensure efficient, compliant, and value-conscious sourcing of goods and services that enhance the school’s operational quality and learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement the school's procurement strategy aligned with regional and institutional objectives.
- Collaborate with Operations, Senior Leadership, and Finance teams to develop annual procurement plans.
- Promote value-driven procurement through competitive sourcing, market benchmarking, and strategic contract negotiations.
- Manage tender procedures compliant with governance standards.
- Negotiate and administer contracts and agreements with suppliers.
- Ensure strict adherence to local regulations, internal financial controls, and Nord Anglia’s organizational policies.
- Maintain comprehensive procurement records to support audits and governance protocols.
- Establish and nurture strong supplier partnerships to mitigate operational risks.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely acquisition and delivery of required resources and services.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification in procurement, such as CIPS or equivalent, preferred.
- At least five years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or commercial roles.
- Proven capabilities in contract negotiation and management.
- Strong financial understanding and analytical aptitude.
- Experience operating within regulated governance and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with Qatar procurement regulations is desirable.
- Experience in educational, hospitality, or service sectors is advantageous.
