About the Company
Majd Yanbu Industrial Company is a collaborative venture between Elsewedy Cables and Alfanar Electrical Systems, establishing an advanced copper rod manufacturing plant in Yanbu Industrial City with an annual production capacity of 120,000 metric tons.
Role Overview
As the facility prepares for commercial production, we invite motivated production engineers to develop and optimize manufacturing processes from inception.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the copper rod casting and rolling production lines to achieve targeted quality and throughput.
- Continuously monitor critical process variables such as temperature, speed, tension, and cooling to maintain product uniformity.
- Diagnose and resolve production constraints via root cause analysis and process enhancements.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to reduce downtime and facilitate planned equipment shutdowns.
- Develop, implement, and sustain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality control plans for production activities.
- Record and analyze key performance indicators including output volume, yield rates, scrap levels, and energy consumption, and communicate results to leadership.
- Contribute to pilot runs of new products, process optimization initiatives, and capacity expansion projects.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Between 3 to 6 years of relevant experience within metals, heavy industry, or continuous casting facilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of production planning, process control methodologies, and quality assurance practices.
- Prior exposure to copper rod or wire rod manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
- Competence in data analysis and familiarity with production reporting tools.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills suited for a shift-based operational setting.
