Project Manager

About the Role

We have an exciting opening for an experienced Project Manager to join our hardworking construction team in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. This role involves overseeing the successful and timely delivery of multiple projects within your portfolio, working closely with the Construction Manager. You will manage resources efficiently while fostering a culture of safety and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver leadership and guidance to your direct reports to meet project goals.
• Champion a Zero Harm workplace, ensuring strict adherence to health and safety policies.
• Manage the allocation of personnel, equipment, technology, and other resources to meet project objectives.
• Develop and refine systems and procedures for improved project delivery.
• Support the creation and execution of procurement strategies.

Required Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated experience in project and/or contract management within civil engineering.
• Ability to think strategically, solve problems, and implement effective solutions.
• Proven success in cultivating a culture focused on business excellence.
• High emotional intelligence with a talent for motivating and leading teams.
• Strong skills in managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Tertiary qualification related to the field is advantageous but not essential.
