Project Manager

Job Overview

This role centers on guaranteeing customer satisfaction by successfully managing projects from order placement through commissioning, thereby fostering recurring business relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of Grid Automation projects based in the UAE.
• Track and meet critical KPIs including revenue, cash flow, inventory levels, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure all project-related operations comply with company policies, contractual conditions, quality norms, environmental and safety standards, financial goals, and agreed timelines.
• Establish strong client relationships and maintain satisfaction through punctual project delivery.
• Coordinate project review meetings with factory leadership and project managers to ensure contracts are fulfilled as agreed.
• Proactively identify potential risks, negotiate resolutions, and address escalations, especially those initiated by customers.
• Plan, monitor, and control project progress within scope, time, and budget, collaborating closely with the Head of Project Management for project assessments.
• Verify projects adhere to established methodologies and internal standards and confirm contracts are duly closed.
• Oversee the handling of client requests including project execution changes or additional demands leading to new sales opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant external regulations, internal policies, and guidelines.
• Embody core company values such as safety and integrity, demonstrating accountability and care towards colleagues and organizational goals.

Candidate Profile

• Degree holder in engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s) or an equivalent qualification with a robust technical foundation.
• At least five years experience in project management.
• Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide teams and persuade stakeholders towards project interests.
• Proven capability to work efficiently under pressure to meet project deadlines, budget, and quality criteria.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is a benefit.
• Detail-oriented, ensuring precision and high standards in project outcomes.
• Skillful in developing work procedures and integrating lessons learned into future practices.
• Flexible in adapting to shifting priorities and meeting stringent deadlines while collaborating effectively within multicultural and cross-functional teams.
• Analytic thinker with strong problem-solving skills, capable of anticipating and mitigating risks and difficulties.
• Experience with Hitachi Energy products like IEDs and SCADAs and UAE project management exposure.
• Background in utility sector projects is an advantage.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written, is mandatory.
