Role Overview

The Project Manager will oversee and direct the execution of specialty subcontracting projects, collaborating with internal teams, clients, and general contractors to ensure services are delivered efficiently and meet client expectations. Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills will be vital to drive project success and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive project plans covering scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs for subcontracting work.
• Manage and coordinate project activities to comply with plans, specifications, and contractual duties.
• Track project progress, detect risks or delays, and apply strategies to mitigate issues.
• Oversee budgets, expenses, and financial projections, taking necessary steps to manage costs and ensure profitability.
• Work closely with estimators, designers, installation teams, general contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to promote efficient project coordination and communication.
• Manage material procurement and scheduling to guarantee timely availability for project tasks.
• Guide installation crews to ensure quality workmanship that aligns with project specifications.
• Maintain thorough project documentation including contracts, change orders, schedules, and records.
• Generate periodic progress reports highlighting milestones, project status, and challenges.
• Assist in producing as-built documentation and support final project closeout.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct regular quality inspections to verify subcontracting work meets all requirements and client expectations.
• Collaborate with Safety Manager to uphold a rigorous safety program across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction with a focus on specialty subcontracting.
• In-depth understanding of commercial construction methodologies, materials, building codes relevant to subcontracting.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills to lead teams toward successful project completion.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an annual salary ranging from $85,000 to $100,000. Benefits include a 401(k) plan, dental insurance, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance.

Additional Information

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial construction is required.
• Candidates should be able to commute or relocate to Tampa, FL 33634 prior to starting work.
• This is an onsite full-time role based in Tampa, FL.
