Project Manager - Data Migration

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager to oversee the migration of around 1,100 data wrangling workflows from a legacy on-premise data platform (Trifacta) to a new cloud-hosted environment. This transition will occur in three distinct phases and needs to be finalized by the end of the calendar year due to the existing system's end of support. The successful candidate will report directly to the Programme Director and coordinate efforts across multiple teams to ensure timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and take ownership of the comprehensive migration schedule, orchestrating all related delivery tasks.
• Develop and execute communication and engagement strategies for all client stakeholders involved.
• Keep client teams well-informed and provide continuous support throughout the migration process.
• Conduct programme governance activities including status updates, milestone tracking, and executive reporting.
• Manage the RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) log and actively work to address and resolve any concerns.
• Track project progress and communicate on overall programme status and any delivery risks.
• Encourage responsibility across different functions and handle any obstacles impeding delivery.

Role Requirements

• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale migration or transformation projects.
• Excellent stakeholder relationship skills combined with strong communication abilities.
• Capability to oversee complex initiatives involving multiple teams and disciplines.
• A proactive mindset in identifying potential risks and managing challenges effectively.
• Familiarity with data migration best practices and governance standards.

Working Arrangement: Fully remote, full-time assignment
