Quality Auditor

About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and proficient Quality Auditor to join our team in Centurion, Gauteng. This role involves contributing to the annual audit plans, executing audits in line with these plans, providing guidance and support during customer and certification audits, and managing audit activities through task management tools. The incumbent will also participate in operational improvement projects and report directly to the Head of Operational Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement audit principles and methodologies while efficiently planning and organizing audit activities.
• Conduct audits according to the set audit schedule by gathering data through interviews, observations, and reviewing documentation.
• Verify audit evidence thoroughly to substantiate findings and conclusions.
• Evaluate compliance with relevant standards and monitor the execution of corrective measures.
• Utilize the designated task management system to handle non-conformities, observations, and enhancements.

Candidate Profile

Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of quality management systems and practices.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with diverse individuals and cultures.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Superior written communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Self-motivated, innovative, and capable of authoritative leadership.
• Firm yet fair approach promoting a just culture and encouraging open, non-punitive reporting environments.

Experience:

• Minimum of seven years relevant professional experience.
• Experience with standards including ISO 9001:2015, AS 9100, AS 9110, and ISO 9011.
• Comprehensive insight into organizational functions such as training management, aircraft and aerodrome operations, air traffic management, and maintenance management.
• Able to perform effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Basic business knowledge including budget planning, cost control, and forecasting.

Competencies and Skills:

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and industrial manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in analytical thinking, root cause failure analysis, value stream mapping, and measurement system analysis.
• Expertise in total quality management and quality tools.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Excellent prioritization, multitasking, and professional work ethics.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications:

• BSc, B-Tech, or equivalent qualification at NQF level 6 or above.
