Role Overview

The Quality Development Lead will play an essential function in enhancing and evolving organisational quality practices across ACC. Collaborating with the Practice Manager Quality, delivery teams, and technical leaders, the position leads the promotion of top-tier testing and quality standards, elevating quality maturity and driving continuous improvement efforts. This role has the chance to shape ACC's quality strategy, boost organisational capability, and ensure high-quality product and service delivery efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and promote enterprise-wide quality and testing standards.
  • Foster advancements in quality maturity and implement continuous development initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership and teams to embed best practices in quality assurance and testing.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in quality assurance, quality practice frameworks, or testing.
  • Track record applying standards, frameworks, processes, and initiatives to enhance quality across teams.
  • Proficient understanding of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, software development life cycles, and technical delivery settings.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and waterfall project delivery methods.
  • Skilled stakeholder engagement with the ability to influence, mentor, and secure alignment at various organisational levels.
  • Experience creating reports, quality metrics, health indicators, and maturity evaluations.
  • Strong communication skills, including facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal interaction.
  • Collaborative, innovative mindset committed to capability growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its significance in policy, system, and process design.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a salary range of NZD 101,287 to NZD 131,077 annually, commensurate with experience. ACC provides an attractive superannuation plan featuring a 9% employer contribution with no mandatory employee payments, alongside optional life and income protection insurance.
