React Developer

About the Role

We represent a partner company seeking a skilled React Developer based in Canada to join their team remotely. This role involves creating engaging, high-performance web applications that provide a seamless and accessible user experience. The developer will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of responsive front-end solutions while collaborating closely with designers, backend engineers, and product owners to deliver scalable digital products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React.js and modern JavaScript techniques.
• Create reusable components and front-end libraries to enhance scalability and consistency.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement interactive and visually engaging user interfaces.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services using JSON and other modern integration methods.
• Implement state management approaches such as Redux or Context API for reliable app functionality.
• Optimize application performance, accessibility, security, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Perform unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure application quality.
• Document technical details clearly for projects and components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to maintain application stability.
• Work closely with backend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to meet project goals.
• Participate in ongoing process improvements by suggesting technical advancements and best practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of practical experience working with React.js.
• Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end development workflows.
• Experience with React hooks and state management tools like Redux or Context API.
• Strong understanding of responsive design and browser compatibility challenges.
• Familiarity with modern toolchains such as Webpack and Babel.
• Knowledge of version control with Git and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with great attention to detail.
• Effective communicator able to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Preferred experience with TypeScript and testing libraries such as Jest or React Testing Library.
• Bonus knowledge of UI frameworks like Material-UI, Chakra UI, or Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker) considered advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive pay around 55 CAD per hour as a T4 employee or 62 CAD per hour if incorporated.
