About the Role
Soccer Shots - Long Island West is seeking a dedicated and organized Scrum Master to join our expanding team based in Syosset, NY. This position is focused on energizing agile teams, promoting a collaborative environment, and driving continuous improvement to ensure outstanding outcomes. Ideal candidates excel in dynamic settings and have a passion for enabling teams to achieve their best performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily standups, sprint planning sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospective meetings.
- Guide and support agile teams in understanding and implementing Scrum principles, values, and best practices.
- Identify and eliminate obstacles that hinder team productivity and velocity.
- Monitor and report sprint progress, team performance metrics, and key indicators.
- Work together with Product Owners to keep product backlogs healthy and prioritized.
- Promote a culture of ongoing enhancement through agile ceremonies and constructive feedback.
- Manage coordination between cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a professional environment.
- Possession of Certified Scrum Master (CSM) credential or a similar agile certification is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Scrum framework, Kanban methodology, and agile practices.
- Strong skills in facilitation, communication, and resolving conflicts.
- Familiarity with project management platforms such as Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and with various stakeholders.
- Self-driven, well-organized, and motivated by team growth and agile adoption.
