Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Risk Management
- Clearly convey cybersecurity risks and posture to senior leadership.
- Create risk mitigation strategies aligned with organizational risk appetite.
- Ensure cybersecurity decisions align with sound risk management principles.
- Conduct risk assessments for major changes in applications or systems.
- Contribute to risk management framework and documentation.
- Identify and manage cybersecurity risks through governance processes.
- Perform cybersecurity risk assessments and maintain risk management programs.
- Assign roles for executing the Risk Management Framework.
- Establish organizational risk management strategies including risk tolerance determination.
- Perform initial and ongoing risk assessments of stakeholder assets.
- Collaborate with officials to use monitoring tools for ongoing risk awareness.
- Utilize tools like eGRC to evaluate risks.
- Develop methods to monitor and measure risk, compliance, and assurance efforts effectively.
- Identify supply chain risks for critical system components.
Compliance and Regulation
- Evaluate organizational cybersecurity policies for compliance with regulations and frameworks.
- Detect patterns of non-compliance and suggest improvements.
- Regularly review cybersecurity strategies and policies to ensure regulation adherence.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve incidents and compliance issues.
- Create and implement processes and audits for third-party cybersecurity compliance.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Engage cooperatively with regulatory bodies during compliance reviews or investigations.
Skills and Qualifications
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel as required.
- Expertise in consulting, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English languages.
- Capable of conveying threat insights to enhance organizational risk postures.
- Experience working with leadership to develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity risk and compliance strategies.
- Proficiency in drafting and maintaining cybersecurity policies and standards aligned with business strategies and legal obligations.
- Ability to translate technical information to stakeholder comprehension levels.
- In-depth knowledge of risk assessment, mitigation, and management techniques.
- Understanding of cybersecurity laws, ethical considerations, and privacy regulations.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity threats from emerging technologies and malicious actors.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity authentication, authorization, and access control mechanisms.
- Awareness of vulnerabilities in applications and their impacts.
- Familiarity with national cybersecurity laws and globally recognized standards such as ISO 27001/27002, NIST, PCI DSS, and ITIL.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in information security, cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Over six years of relevant professional experience.
- Certifications such as CRISC, GRCP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or equivalent.
