Role Overview
This position is for an experienced engineer who can contribute to a highly available product environment, work closely in an agile team, and help deliver major product work across a large codebase.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate in an agile team to ship software quickly while supporting a highly available application.
- Take ownership of large product efforts that involve several developers at different experience levels.
- Translate functional designs and user stories into working technical solutions and related deliverables.
- Provide estimates for user stories and development tasks.
- Improve legacy code by refactoring it to match current standards and design patterns.
- Add automated test coverage for newly built functionality.
Technical Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience with Spring or a closely related stack.
- Strong proficiency in Java.
- Solid command of Spring and Hibernate configuration as well as common design patterns.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and query optimization.
- Deep understanding of object-oriented design principles and patterns.
- Ability to design and support large-scale APIs.
- Working knowledge of SPA frameworks, especially React.
- Familiarity with messaging approaches and tools such as RabbitMQ and Spring Integration.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end software pieces inside a large application codebase.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging capability.
- Bonus experience with Groovy/Grails.
- Bonus experience with AWS.
Eligibility
Candidates should hold a B.Tech or B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE).
