Key Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with developers, product managers, and QA analysts to gather software requirements, design specs, and user stories.
• Create, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks, tools, and scripts to verify software performance, functionality, and scalability.
• Build comprehensive end-to-end automated tests for APIs, hardware components, and other software modules.
• Integrate automated tests within CI/CD workflows to support continual integration and deployment.
• Develop and document extensive test cases, scenarios, and datasets to ensure thorough coverage.
• Run automated test suites, interpret results, and partner with development teams to diagnose and fix defects.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members, lead code reviews, and enforce quality standards in test automation code.
• Track and communicate test automation progress, coverage, and quality metrics to relevant stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of latest trends and best practices in test automation and assurance.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience in product software testing and development, with proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java or Python.
• Hands-on experience with automation-supporting tools such as AWS, Jenkins, and Ansible.
• Competence in preparing test plans, identifying test cases, and maintaining test case repositories.
• Proven experience in creating and running comprehensive automated test suites.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with Unix/Linux scripting and tools.
• Collaboration experience with developers to implement automated testing strategies.
• Knowledge of integrating automated tests into continuous development and deployment pipelines.
• Ability to estimate testing efforts and produce detailed test reports.
• Exposure to Raspberry Pi systems and defect tracking processes.
• Manual testing capability where needed.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Experience in extending and implementing automated test frameworks.
• Willingness to travel internationally (notably to the US and China) to assist in product launch phases and global team collaboration.
• Understanding of Image Processing and Computer Vision technologies.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
