Role Overview
The Settlement Coordinator position is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing and managing settlement files from negotiation through final disbursement. Key tasks include preparing and reviewing settlement documents, securing final ledgers and lien records from all providers, negotiating lien reductions under attorney guidance, and ensuring complete and accurate disbursements. Additional duties involve drafting cover letters for checks, coordinating check pickups, verifying all required forms and payment instructions, and maintaining communication with clients, attorneys, insurance carriers, medical providers, and lienholders to confirm settlement terms and resolve issues efficiently.
Daily Operations
- Maintaining up-to-date case management systems and tracking deadlines
- Confirming receipt and distribution of settlement funds
- Producing settlement summaries and detailed reports for the legal team
- Supporting continuous process improvements and ensuring compliance with firm policies and applicable regulations
Work Environment and Expectations
The role is based on Eastern Time Zone hours from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The firm employs tools such as Time Doctor and Nord VPN, and all team members must be prepared for video meetings at any time. Daily KPI tracking for productivity is standard. Compensation
The starting salary is USD 800 per month.
