About Mastercard and Role Overview

As a Software Engineer within the Mastercard Foundry R&D team, you will actively contribute to Mastercard's innovation by embracing new skills and technologies to build scalable software solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver high-quality and scalable software in an agile environment.
- Work collaboratively with global teams comprising product owners, researchers, and engineers in a fast-paced, high-ownership agile setup.
- Create innovative prototypes, pilots, and minimum viable products (MVPs) to explore cutting-edge possibilities in payments and commerce.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies for their potential impact on the payment industry.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of two years' experience working in agile teams.
- At least two years' experience developing Java Spring Boot applications with microservices architecture and familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Strong background designing scalable software solutions spanning backend, frontend, mobile, and database systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of agile development methodologies, clean coding, test-driven development, and continuous integration/deployment practices.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Proven full-stack development expertise.
- Experience designing, developing, deploying, and managing AI, ML, and Generative AI solutions utilizing cloud-based AI platforms such as Databricks, Azure AI Foundry, or AWS AI Stack.
- Over two years' front-end development experience with React or Angular.
- Over two years' development experience in native iOS or Android mobile applications.
- Proficiency in utilizing AI development tools.
Corporate Security Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to Mastercard's security policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of accessed information.
- Promptly report any potential security violations or breaches.
- Complete all required periodic security training according to company guidelines.
