Role Summary

The Infotainment team crafts immersive, interactive digital experiences within vehicles, enhancing driver engagement and connectivity. As a Software Engineering Intern, you will contribute significantly to building user-centric Android applications, including key features like Navigation, directly influencing the EV customer experience. Your work will ensure apps are high quality, robust, and performant.

Program Details

• Term: Full-time engagement from September 21, 2026 to April 23, 2027
• Work Location: Vancouver, BC or Toronto, ON

Responsibilities

• Create and implement Android OS applications, focusing on important functionalities such as navigation and media features.
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams including product management and UI/UX designers to refine feature specifications.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects prior to release.
• Develop and maintain test code to validate quality, performance, and correctness, including edge cases.
• Engage in continuous skill development via workshops, conferences, and learning sessions.

Required Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program at a recognized Canadian university.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin programming language.
• Experience working with Android OS and Android Jetpack APIs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pursuing a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical degree, with plans to resume studies post-internship.
• Prior experience in Android app development.
• Familiarity with continuous integration systems, such as Jenkins.
• Understanding of Android design standards and interface guidelines.
• For software integration positions, experience with Python, Linux, testing automation, and CI/CD workflows is valued.

Eligibility

Candidates must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students in an accredited program throughout the internship duration. Non-degree candidates should consider applying for full-time roles instead. Individuals should also fulfill any university-specific internship criteria independently.
