Role Overview
This role is for a commercially motivated Specialist Sales Representative based in Victoria, Australia on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will focus on hospital and specialist care sectors to promote Pharmanovia’s specialist products, driving growth through strategic collaboration with healthcare providers, hospitals, and decision-makers. The position requires cross-functional coordination with Medical, Market Access, Marketing, and Commercial teams to achieve sales targets and support national brand initiatives. This role offers autonomy and the chance to make a significant commercial impact within an international pharmaceutical context.
Key Responsibilities
- Surpass sales, market share, and activity objectives in the assigned territory through strategic planning and effective client engagement.
- Develop and implement detailed business plans aligned with company-wide commercial goals and brand strategies.
- Foster and sustain strong relationships with physicians, hospital clinicians, pharmacists, nurses, procurement teams, and healthcare decision authorities.
- Advance formulary listings and boost product adoption in both public and private hospitals.
- Explore new commercial prospects within current and potential accounts to maximize growth.
- Create targeted Key Account Plans for priority customers supporting sustained partnerships and business expansion.
- Influence clinical stakeholders by delivering evidence-based scientific and product information.
- Collaborate closely with Brand, Medical, and Market Access teams on patient access initiatives and outcomes improvement.
- Identify and nurture Key Opinion Leaders and clinical advocates in the region.
- Coordinate and participate in educational sessions, speaker programs, hospital presentations, and national congress events to enhance engagement.
- Monitor competitors, market trends, and healthcare developments to inform strategic planning.
- Maintain accurate customer relationship management (CRM) records, sales reports, and territory plans.
- Manage territory budgets and promotional resources ensuring efficient use and maximized ROI.
- Adhere strictly to Medicines Australia Code of Conduct and company policies representing Pharmanovia professionally.
- Work collaboratively across departments to deliver excellent customer experiences and meet shared business goals.
- Continuously update product, therapeutic area, and healthcare system knowledge to maintain a trusted advisory role.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, Marketing, or related fields.
- Demonstrated pharmaceutical sales experience in Australia, preferably in multinational pharmaceutical companies.
- Strong track record in hospital and specialist care sales environments with management of key hospital accounts.
- Proven ability to create and implement successful territory business plans surpassing sales targets.
- Good understanding of hospital purchasing and formulary decision processes.
- Experience building relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.
- Used CRM tools and sales reporting systems effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret market and sales data.
- Must hold a valid Australian driver’s licence and be available for frequent travel within Victoria.

- Skill in presenting complex clinical data to healthcare professionals.
