About the Role

The Strategy team at Heidrick & Struggles partners closely with top executives, including the CEO, President, CFO, Chief Legal Officer, and CHRO, alongside business line leaders to pinpoint and tackle significant opportunities and challenges. The aim is to enhance the company's short- and long-term business results. As a Strategy Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Vice President and Senior Manager of Strategy by providing detailed analytical, research, and organizational assistance. Your work will cover the company’s highest priority projects such as annual strategic planning, competitor analysis, mergers and acquisitions evaluations, and detailed assessments of business performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain advanced financial models to guide strategic choices and evaluate initiative outcomes.
  • Perform comprehensive research on industry trends, competitor movements, and potential partners or acquisition targets, compiling and analyzing the relevant findings.
  • Create clear and engaging presentations that distill complex analyses into compelling stories and visuals for executive-level meetings. Support the facilitation of annual strategic planning events and workshops.
  • Assist with the organization and oversight of high-priority strategy projects, monitoring progress against established benchmarks and timelines.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • At least two to three years in a similarly demanding analytical role within a corporation, top-tier strategy consultancy, or financial institution such as investment banking or private equity.
  • Advanced expertise in statistical and financial modeling using Excel, with the ability to develop models that reveal key data trends, forecast business outcomes, and simulate strategic decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience producing executive-level presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Capability to manage work under pressure in a dynamic environment while juggling multiple priorities.
  • Strong independent problem-solving skills coupled with effective teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills tailored to diverse audiences across all organizational layers.
