About the Role
This position focuses on managing supplier quality by conducting various evaluations, inspections, and ongoing enhancement activities to ensure suppliers meet quality standards and contractual requirements.
Responsibilities
- Review contracts, customer requirements, and quality standards to establish specific quality expectations for suppliers and approve related quality plans.
- Qualify suppliers through audits, surveillance, and addressing gaps to maintain an up-to-date Approved Supplier List (ASL).
- Conduct First Article Inspections, Receiving Inspections, Source Inspections, and material tests to verify product compliance with technical specifications.
- Issue and manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests for defects, facilitate root cause analysis, and confirm the success of corrective and preventive measures.
- Track supplier quality metrics, perform periodic evaluations, and enforce Quality Assurance and Improvement Plans to drive supplier performance and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with Receiving Inspection and Supply Chain Management teams to handle blocked inventory promptly and reduce stock delays.
- Assist cross-functional teams with suspect parts and configuration changes, coordinating risk mitigation efforts with SCM and other departments.
- Serve as the main point of contact and accountable individual for program activities including actions, issues, communications, and compliance with TASL QMS and customer standards; participate in daily program meetings to provide updates on metrics and status.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
