Technical Support Engineer - Compressor

As a Technical Support Engineer in the Product Integrity team, you will be instrumental in addressing critical technical challenges on-site at customer locations. Your work supports Siemens Energy’s commitment to decarbonization by ensuring compressors and related systems operate efficiently and reliably. This position suits professionals with extensive technical expertise and strong communication skills, who can collaborate effectively with clients and engineering teams to maintain seamless compressor operations, thus contributing to a sustainable industrial future.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers and internal Siemens Energy teams at multiple organizational levels to resolve technical challenges effectively.
• Perform in-depth troubleshooting of compressors and their auxiliary systems to optimize their performance.
• Act as a liaison for technical knowledge exchange between field sites and senior product integrity experts.
• Coordinate with colleagues to communicate and execute necessary corrective actions.
• Offer specialized technical advice and support to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Create and update comprehensive documentation related to field services including reports and maintenance records.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline, or demonstrate equivalent professional experience.
• Bring no less than seven years of direct hands-on experience in installation and overhaul across various industrial gas compressors, including turbo, axial flow, integral gear, and reciprocating types.
• Have proven competencies in instrumentation and control validation during startups and overhaul processes.
• Expert in vibration analysis and conducting performance testing on-site.
• Proficient in precision measurement techniques and adept at solving complex problems under high-pressure conditions.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills, capable of independent work in dynamic, unpredictable situations, and flexible with travel and working hours.
