About the Role
The Technical Support Engineer will offer end-to-end technical and operational assistance throughout the lifecycle of projects, from evaluating client needs and preparing competitive proposals to overseeing on-site installations and conducting client training. This ensures that all projects adhere to approved standards and are delivered successfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate project queries received from the sales team and determine the technical requirements needed.
- Prepare precise cost assessments, technical and commercial proposals, as well as all associated submittals and drawings.
- Act as a company representative in meetings with consultants and contractors, respond to technical questions, and track approvals to maintain timely progress of projects.
- Collaborate with procurement to secure competitive quotations from vendors, and independently communicate with suppliers to obtain both technical and commercial offers for accurate project cost estimation.
- Supervise installation teams on-site, providing direct technical guidance and training them on proper execution methods following relevant codes.
- Deliver on-site technical support to troubleshoot and resolve issues arising during project implementation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience in managing gas system projects such as LPG, SNG, and overall MEP executions.
- Comprehensive understanding of applicable technical codes and standards like NFPA, BS, and SBC.
- Skilled in using engineering design tools including AutoCAD and MS Office Excel for preparing project estimates.
- Strong communication and negotiation capabilities to effectively engage with consultants and lead technical teams.
