Testing Technician

Role Overview

As a Testing Technician, you will join the High Voltage division of Hitachi Energy located in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Your primary responsibility is to conduct comprehensive testing procedures on high voltage capacitor banks to ensure their compliance with set standards and customer specifications, prioritizing safety, efficiency, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute high voltage testing tasks aligned with prescribed test instructions, engineering drawings, checklists, and customer order details.
• Adhere meticulously to all testing protocols and guidelines during operations.
• Maintain strict observance of safety regulations throughout all testing processes.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles, including 5S, elimination of 8 wastes, and Kaizen improvements.
• Report potential safety risks via the Intelex reporting system and document quality concerns through NCR entries in SAP/MES.
• Interpret and work with high voltage system drawings accurately.
• Complete essential training programs such as Safety and Lean Six Sigma White Belt certification.
• Engage in effective communication and teamwork with colleagues across departments.
• Perform additional duties assigned by management to support operational needs.

Qualifications and Background

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Experience ranging from none to three years in a related technical role is acceptable.
• Solid understanding of electrical symbols, schematic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Strong communication abilities, both written and oral, capable of engaging professionally with diverse teams.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.
