Role Overview

We are searching for a Training Team Leader to enhance our client support services. The ideal candidate should be an engaging, well-organized leader with a passion for empowering users and support staff through effective technology training. This person will apply strong instructional design skills and excellent communication proficiency to deliver impactful training across diverse technical subjects and varying learner needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, planning, and management of training programs supporting Service Desk operations and enabling customers.
• Create and deliver instructional content in various formats including virtual, face-to-face, lectures, individualized sessions, and hands-on workshops.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer initiatives aimed at boosting customer capabilities and minimizing unnecessary support requests.
• Partner with stakeholders to assess training requirements and align programs with evolving technologies and organizational goals.
• Prepare comprehensive training materials, curriculum plans, and documentation covering broad and complex topics.
• Oversee multiple training projects simultaneously while ensuring high quality, responsiveness, and learner engagement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over five years of professional experience in training or teaching roles.
• Proven expertise in planning and developing training courses on extensive and complex subjects.
• Deep familiarity with different instructional methods including virtual, in-person, lecture-based, one-on-one, and experiential learning.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Demonstrated capacity to work independently and handle multiple deadlines and projects effectively.
• Excellent collaboration skills across all organizational levels.

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree is mandatory; preferred fields include Education, IT, Instructional Design, or related disciplines.
• A Master’s or MBA degree in a relevant area is advantageous.
• Certifications in training, instructional design, service management, or technical education relevant to enterprise IT are desirable.

Additional Requirements

• Clear Public Trust clearance eligibility is necessary.
• Travel may occur locally within a 50-mile radius of NIH Bethesda, Maryland; such travel is unreimbursed.
• Occasional travel may be required and reimbursed if pre-approved according to Federal Travel Regulations.
• Work locations include government facilities, remote sites, or approved employee workspaces supporting government duties.
• Primarily office-based work environment requiring occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds and willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
