Job Overview

We are seeking full-time Wait Staff to join our team. The role requires you to warmly welcome guests, manage seating arrangements, take accurate food and beverage orders, deliver meals efficiently, and maintain a high standard of customer service in our fine-dining environment. The position involves assisting with opening and closing duties, banquet services during special functions, and working seamlessly with kitchen and bar personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare tables with appropriate cutlery, glassware, and crockery, adhering to fine-dining standards.
• Handle reservations and warmly greet guests upon arrival while presenting menus and beverage lists, including wine and tea selections.
• Provide informed recommendations on signature dishes such as seasonal seafood specials along with complementary beverages.
• Accurately take and communicate food and drink orders to kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally and assist in cellar operations when required.
• Clear tables efficiently and return dishes and utensils to the kitchen for cleaning.
• Continually monitor guests’ beverage levels, removing empty bottles and refilling glasses throughout the service.
• Manage payments using point-of-sale systems and handle cash registers with accuracy.
• Support banquet and function services during private events and accommodate large group bookings.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Possession of an AQF Certificate III in Hospitality or equivalent vocational qualification.
• Alternatively, candidates with at least two years of relevant wait staff experience will be considered.
• Deliver courteous, attentive, and professional service consistently, resolving guest complaints and special requests with patience and efficiency.
• Maintain composure and organization during busy periods by coordinating closely with kitchen and bar teams.
