Warehouse Supervisor

About the Role

Join a dynamic and fast-paced environment within a global supply chain solutions provider as a Warehouse Supervisor, based at our purpose-built Distribution Centre in Wiri - Auckland. This role involves overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations to ensure efficient distribution of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) to customer restaurants. You will lead and mentor a team of warehouse operators during the PM shift (Monday to Friday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm), fostering a supportive, collaborative, and safe workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure a hazard-free workplace by conducting daily inspections and implementing preventive and corrective safety measures.
• Support operational goals by maintaining on-time deliveries and service KPIs, with consistent reporting and exploration of cost-effective improvements.
• Coach and motivate the warehouse team to maintain engagement and uphold CARES values throughout daily activities.
• Maintain compliance with legislative and customer requirements related to operations and facilities.
• Facilitate employee training, development initiatives, and address performance concerns promptly.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and monitor performance against budget and forecasts.
• Manage staffing to align with dispatch volumes and schedules, regularly reviewing pick routes for enhanced efficiency.
• Promote a culture centered on engagement and continuous improvement within the workplace.

Candidate Profile

• Proven supervisory experience in similar roles within Supply Chain, Logistics, or Warehouse Management sectors.
• Experience handling multiple temperature zones in FMCG operations is preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams and effectively manage varied personalities.
• Initiative-driven with a focus on meeting and surpassing business KPIs, alongside maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
• Capability to navigate complex situations through critical and lateral thinking in a dynamic environment.
• Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety standards, including Chain of Responsibility (CoR), HACCP, and FSSC standards.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite at intermediate to advanced levels.

Additional Information
