Welding Inspector

The Welding QC Inspector is accountable for overseeing welding operations to guarantee they align with designated project standards, approved processes, Saudi Aramco's protocols, and recognized global quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect welding processes adhering to approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), project parameters, and global regulatory criteria.
• Conduct thorough welding fit-up, in-progress, and final inspections.
• Ensure welders are qualified and confirm the suitability of welding consumables and equipment prior to task initiation.
• Guarantee conformity with Saudi Aramco's quality criteria and project demands.
• Review and validate welding procedures, inspection documentation, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) reports, and other quality-related documents.
• Liaise with construction teams, QA/QC staff, and client delegates during inspection activities.
• Identify, report, and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and oversee corrective measures.
• Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, quality assessments, and related paperwork.
• Assist client audits and quality evaluations to ensure compliance.
• Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies alongside quality management frameworks.

Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Have at least 5 years of direct experience as a Welding QC Inspector on Saudi Aramco projects.
• Successful completion of the Saudi Aramco Computer-Based Test (CBT) is compulsory.
• Advanced understanding of welding inspection methodologies, including WPS, Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), ITP, and international welding standards.
• Capability to interpret engineering blueprints and welding documentation efficiently.
