Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cabin Avionics Engineer to join a dedicated Technical Services Team at Mascot. This permanent position involves maintaining airworthiness and engineering standards for the cabin avionics systems across the Qantas Group's fleet. Key Responsibilities

  • Support continuous airworthiness of the Qantas Group fleet by applying expert knowledge in cabin avionics.

  • Manage aircraft maintenance programs and coordinate reliability projects for avionics systems related to cabin interiors.
  • Assess and approve cabin-related modifications to maintain outstanding safety records and optimize operational performance and costs.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possess a professional engineering degree in Avionics, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or an equivalent field.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience designing and developing aircraft cabin interiors, specifically for Boeing or Airbus fleets.
  • Familiarity with a diverse range of cabin products and equipment vendors.
  • Strong knowledge of CASA regulations, particularly CASR Part 21 and Part 42; familiarity with EASA and FAA regulations is advantageous.
  • Proven capability managing small to medium design projects aligned with stakeholder objectives.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing deadlines with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical information clearly and effectively.
