Claims Handler - APA/CIP

About the Role

Based in Dublin with a hybrid work setup requiring up to two days onsite, this position reports to the Claims Manager. It is offered by a reputable Irish insurance company known for its strong market presence.

Primary Responsibilities

• Handle motor insurance claims comprehensively, taking full ownership from initial claim intake through to resolution, including liability assessment and claim settlement within authorized limits.
• Act as the key contact for customers, brokers, and service providers, offering clear guidance and supportive communication throughout the claims process.
• Identify potential fraud risks and maintain meticulous and accurate claim records.
• Collaborate closely with the team to assist with workload management and foster a positive workplace culture.
• Coordinate with external partners such as loss adjusters and solicitors as required.
• Participate actively in training sessions, projects, and initiatives aimed at continuous process improvement.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in claims handling or general insurance, whether as a broker or insurer.
• Mandatory APA qualification with Personal & Commercial endorsement or CIP certification.
• Excellent organizational skills paired with strong communication capabilities.
• Problem-solving aptitude with a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction.
• A proactive, collaborative, and team-centered work approach.
