Deli Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a motivated Deli Assistant to join our team at Centra Patrick's Street, Cork. This part-time role focuses on preparing top-quality hot and cold deli products while prioritizing customer satisfaction above all else.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders in all fresh food sections including making sandwiches and rolls, cooking hot foods, and slicing meats using precise portion control methods
• Cook, assemble, and present foods attractively throughout the day
• Maintain counter displays across fresh food areas to the highest standards at all times
• Share your enthusiasm for quality food by offering knowledge, recipe ideas, and personal recommendations to customers
• Handle customer inquiries professionally and in accordance with store policies

Candidate Profile

• HACCP certification is preferable but not mandatory
• Strong communication skills
• Prior experience in customer service is a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple tasks under pressure
• A genuine passion for food and the ability to engage and inspire shoppers
