About the Role
Join our pharmacy team as a Dispenser and play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure pharmacy services are delivered safely and efficiently within the store. This position is located in UK stores only and requires valid work authorization. Remote applications will not be considered.
Key Duties
- Dispense prescriptions accurately including medicine ordering, labeling, endorsing, and facilitating prescription collection.
- Collaborate with in-store healthcare professionals to manage and provide pharmacy services.
- Offer advice and support to patients on medication use, referring complex queries to pharmacists.
- Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures to guarantee safe and lawful dispensing processes.
- Stay informed of innovations and operational guidelines relevant to the store’s pharmacy operations.
- Aid patients in managing their prescriptions through repeats and adherence strategies to minimize waste.
- Engage with new pharmacy technologies to enhance dispensing safety and free time for patient interaction.
Qualifications and Experience
- Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or equivalent, or current progression through the first year of an MPharm degree.
- Eligible to work in the UK with no sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visa available.
- Preferably prior experience in community pharmacy environments.
