Role Overview

The Electrical BIM Coordinator will support electrical building services projects by driving BIM execution, maintaining model quality, coordinating across disciplines, and ensuring delivery aligns with project standards, timelines, and cost objectives.

Requirements

• A degree or diploma in an engineering or technical discipline is required.
• Hands-on experience with Revit and the ability to deliver projects independently using BIM methods up to LOD 300/LOD 350.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks, and related Autodesk tools.
• Between 8 and 12 years of relevant experience as a BIM Coordinator in electrical building services.
• Ability to work collaboratively within larger project teams.
• Prior exposure to Middle East projects, especially UAE residential, hotel, hospital, commercial, and high-rise developments, is essential.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary environments with a strong grasp of coordination and interface management across disciplines.
• Working knowledge of BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Strong report-writing ability and experience in presentations and client meetings will be an advantage.
• Exposure to advanced BIM software, automation, and technology-driven improvements will be an added plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the overall BIM approach, track progress, apply processes, handle issues proactively, and share clear status updates.
• Encourage teams to adopt BIM best practices and effective working methods.
• Spot opportunities for better efficiency, training, and productivity, and help implement practical improvements.
• Set up the project environment by creating central files in BIM 360 using the latest architectural and datum inputs and the K&A electrical template.
• Keep project coordinates, base points, levels, and grids current based on architectural datum information throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop new families from data sheets and modify existing families as needed for project demands.
• Ensure the team completes work within the agreed time and budget.
• Coordinate closely with Mechanical, Architectural, Civil, Structural, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, and other discipline teams to improve collaboration.
• Convert NWC files, create NWF files with clash reports, and produce NWD files with clash documentation for the team.
• Review and audit models, carry out Navisworks walkthroughs to identify visual issues, perform clash detection, and suggest rerouting of conflicting elements.
• Update the MIDP in line with K&A standards.
• Apply updates to the electrical template according to K&A requirements.
• Ensure the BIM 360 Revit model remains compliant with the BIM manual.
• Support the team by answering technical questions and resolving issues related to Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Run regular progress review sessions, participate in multi-disciplinary BIM coordination meetings, and track team progress.
• Check the quality of CAD and BIM deliverables before submission.
• Provide BIM training and coaching to team members as needed.

Eligibility

Candidates with a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), or a related Electrical qualification may apply.

Additional Information

This role is based in Bengaluru, India. Experience in BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and advanced BIM automation/workflows is beneficial. The position involves working with international project standards and multi-disciplinary coordination across complex building services projects.
